Technology is at the forefront of the architectural and engineering fields. Constant software updates along with new hardware to accommodate increasingly difficult tasks can easily be overwhelming for larger firms. AD+D is a small, mobile firm which gives us the ease to stay at the front of the digital and technological age.

In the last several years innovations in laser technology have dramatically improved quality and speed of data collection in the construction field. AD+D utilizes the Leica Laser Disto measuring device for fast, accurate, efficient field measuring.

For square footage calculations AD+D utilizes a custom program, Standard Ware, with all calculations built in for error free calculations and capable of publishing color coded reports and easy to read spreadsheets.

AD+D also uses the latest versions of AutoCAD available at the time. From what we see and hear around the country, many architecture and engineering firms may be switching from AutoCAD altogether for a program called Revit, which is still being put out by the maker of AutoCAD; AutoDesk. We will be watching this develop and possibly shifting our software platform in the near future.
